Next Generation Optical Networking Congress 2017

Following the launch of the new optical platform namely "Lightmode" at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, in June sm-optics will be participating at the Next Generation Optical Networking Congress 2017 where the new platforms will be shown in the expo area. During the congress Stefano Schiavoni, head of sales in sm-optics, will held a speech addressing how to revitalize the network by boosting capacity and create an architectural flexibility sustaining the challenges of the next generation transport network. For those who are interested to enter into the technical details, or explore further the application with real cases scenarios we will also held a pre-congress workshop dedicated to operators only, exploring the following topics:

  • the technology innovation driving our platforms
  • how to fully decommission legacy PDH and SDH from the network
  • implementing a programmable optical layer, converging on OTN
  • how to de-layer the network, maximizing the efficiency of the infrastructure and liaising over the existing infrastructure

If these are the topics that are in your agenda today, don't hesitate to attend to know more, or to contact us @ This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
