Announced a long-term cooperation agreement

Milano - October 2018: FPT Telecom a pioneer full-service telecommunication provider in Vietnam and SM-Optics an innovator in optical transmission technology, part of SIAE MICROELETTRONICA GOUP, today announce a long-term cooperation agreement to renovate and expand FPT telecom optical infrastructure.

In the determination of maintaining the most advanced and integrated set of service for their customers, FPT Telecom and SM-Optics have agreed to cooperate in studying, designing and deploying an innovative coherent optical transport network based over SM-Optics OTN and WDM ROADM disaggregated optical platforms. FPT Telecom has a roadmap toward higher level of network flexibility, openly growing and adapting to the evolving transport needs of their user-centric service offering. These include high speed FTTH internet services, cloud platforms, video streaming, data centre interconnect and the launch of IoT.
